Use during mosquito season

For best results, R-Octenol is used during the mosquito season in Sweden (May–Sep). By starting early, preferably in April, you can reduce the number of mosquitoes over time and get significantly better results.

How R-Octenol works

R-Octenol acts as a secondary attractant along with carbon dioxide from LPG. The combination mimics human presence and attracts mosquitoes away from people – directly to the trap.

Tests show that mosquito traps can be up to 10 times more effective with R-Octenol compared to LPG alone.
